He has been based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital for over 13 years, covering also the National Spinal Injuries Centre. He founded the hospital’s Multiple Sclerosis Service in 2004 and cares for over 800 people with the condition. He caters to over 500 people each year suffering headaches. He started the Botulinum Toxin Service for Dystonias, Spasticity and Migraine in 2005, which has around 100 regular attendees.

He was a Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Neurology, University College London.
His approach is to inform and educate, not simply diagnose and medicate. He therefore allows substantial time for each consultation. He takes a holistic approach, using interventions for which there is good scientific evidence. This empowers the individual to deal with their condition, especially when the problem is recurrent or chronic.
