Professional Profile
Deane Halfpenny graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1990 (MBBCh). Having completed his specialist training in the UK in anaesthesia (FRCA), he went on to complete a postgraduate fellowship in advanced pain medicine. His current position as a consultant in pain medicine and anaesthesia involves both working in a primary care and tertiary setting.
He has 11 years of experience working alongside physiotherapists in joint clinics, with a wealth of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and advanced interventional techniques. He has obtained the Faculty Fellowship in Pain Medicine from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA).
His interests include non-surgical management of back pain, myofascial disorders and chronic pain conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome.
