Weymouth Street Hospital fulfils its legal obligations by providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. The safety of all our patients at Weymouth Street Hospital is very important to us and we ask all visitors to report to our main reception before visiting the ward.
Fire safety: For your safety the hospital is protected by a fire alarm system. All staff are familiar with the hospital’s fire procedure. In the event of the fire alarm sounding, please await instructions from the nursing team who will advise you of the correct procedure or refer to the information displayed in your room.
Electrical safety: The hospital is responsible for the electrical safety of all appliances used within the premises. If you bring any electrical items with you, please inform a member of staff who will arrange a free safety check.
Fire alarm: testing will take place at the hospital at 11 am every Wednesday. During the fire alarm test, fire doors throughout the hospital will shut automatically.
Pets: Unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets (with the exception of guide dogs) into the hospital.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hospital.
