Our Plastic Surgeons support the BAAPs Conference this October
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS); which represents the vast majority of NHS-trained plastic surgeons in private practice has held its annual meeting g at the Royal College of Surgeons of England on the 6th and 7th October. We are delighted that many of our Plastic Surgeons are attending and giving lectures at this prestigious event.
This conference sees the launch of a new patient portal providing accurate information on cosmetic procedures and advice on how to choose a surgeon. For the last three years BAAPS has worked both closely and exhaustively with the RCS to develop not only this patient portal but also implementing mechanisms to ensure that cosmetic surgeons are appropriately trained and competent, and to develop measures to monitor the outcomes of cosmetic surgery – and, crucially, to make these resources available online to the public. These mechanisms and portals will continue to help secure what BAAPS has been working so hard to achieve: safe, effective and high quality cosmetic surgery for the UK public. All our Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons are members of BAAPs.
